Reindeer head is stolen from Wem home
Wednesday 17th August 2011, 11:27AM BST.
The head of a reindeer and a stuffed weasel, duck and owl were just some of the unusual items stolen from a house in Shropshire, police have revealed.
Thieves stole two wall-mounted animal heads while several stuffed birds and mammals were taken from glass cases at a home in the Wem area between 2am and 7am yesterday.
Richard Ewels, press spokesman for West Mercia Police, said: “The stolen goods are collectors’ items but do not have any great monetary value.
“However, they do have considerable sentimental value to their owner.”
Information should be passed to Wem Police Station on 0300 333 3000.
