As well as the usual train rides, from October 22 to 30 entertainer Miss Picklelily will be performing magic during her Halloween-themed shows at The Engine House Visitor Centre on October 25, 26 and 27.

The Ghost Trains will arrive on October 27 , running until October 29.

The family-friendly Halloween spectaculars will take passengers on a night-time steam train ride out into the countryside, passing through the SVR's haunted stations.

There will also be face-painting, disco and goody bags for all fare-paying children.

The new Christmas gift fair takes place at The Engine House Visitor Centre on October 22 and 23.

A range of stalls selling gifts, from paintings to chocolate hampers, will be on offer alongside the SVR's very own Christmas gift shop.

Visitors can also create their own gifts thanks to a pottery painting workshop led by The Melting Pot, based in Bewdley.
