The V Festival, sponsored by Virgin Media, which draws thousands of people to Weston Park on the east Shropshire border, is celebrating its 15th anniversary this summer.

And to mark the milestone, we've teamed up with the festival's organisers to give one loyal showgoer a prize they will never forget.

Today the Shropshire Star launches its search for the V Festival Ultimate Fan - someone who has turned out to every single one of the events, come rain or shine, since it moved on to the Weston Park estate.

The prize? A VIP upgrade of their 2010 ticket, giving the winner access to many restricted areas at the festival, plus merchandise from some of the artists on this year's programme.

WHAT WE WANT TO KNOW:

  • Why do you believe you deserve to win the title of the V Festival Ultimate Fan?

  • What proof do you have to back up your track record? Ticket stubs, merchandise, pictures etc.

  • What is your favourite V Festival moment? This might be the tiebreaker question, so think carefully. And if you have any photographs to back up your choice, it will strengthen your claim.

Dawn Woodhouse, who has been V Festival organiser for the past decade, has her own favourite moment.

She said: "Watching Coldplay's performance in 2000 before the band really hit the big time. I remember standing back and watching the crowd's reaction. It was amazing."
