Steve Bull: This is a chance to bring Conor Coady back into Wolves fold

If I was making the decisions at Wolves, I wouldn’t hesitate to bring Conor Coady back into the fold.

There’s an old saying in football ‘you should never go back’ and when Coady went on loan to Everton last summer, I think most of us thought his career at Molineux was finished. Even more so when he started so well for the Toffees and it emerged they could buy him for just £4.5million.

But this is football and things can and often do change quickly. Obviously, the second half of the season didn’t quite go to plan from his perspective and now he is back at Wolves.

If it was me, I’d have him back in the squad all day long.

Coady was a massive part of a successful era for Wolves, on and off the field, and I don’t see why he couldn’t be again. He already knows Max Kilman well and you could put him alongside Craig Dawson or Nathan Collins. We all know how good he can be in a back three, should the head coach decide to use that system.

Coady is vocal, experienced and has a knack of bringing people together. Even if he doesn’t play every week, I still think he can be an asset. You can never have too many good players or people.
