Lewis Cox's Austria tour diary with West Brom - day one
Less than a couple of hours into our arrival in Vienna and we already have interviews with Tammer Bany and Aune Heggebø in the can!
It’s been quite the day to reach Albion’s base of Bad Tatzmannsdorf in the eastern Austria region of Burgenland.

The 4am alarm was not too pleasant to complete the rest of my journey down to Stansted Airport - but mercifully the flight to Vienna was smooth and I even managed to arrive ahead of schedule with a nice tailwind, as well as some catch-up sleep!
I met up with a media colleague, BBC WM’s Baggies commentator Steve Hermon, who is chauffeur for the trip and I have to add my gratitude for his excellent navigation south of the capital.
A journey of around 90 minutes, snaking one way and the other and up and down Austrian hills, was rather scenic as we eventually entered the Burgenland region. It just lacked the Sound of Music background music…
