M5 remains closed several hours after lorry and car crash
National Highways is warning motorists to expect delays during the rush hour on the M5 northbound following a police-led incident.
A crash involving a lorry and a van happened at 8.30pm at junction 4a and while police investigations at the scene are carried out, the road is still closed for emergency roadworks to take place.
Diversions are in place for motorists to exit at 4a to join the M42 junction 2, for approximately five miles and continue back on the M5 northbound.
It is expected the stretch of the M5 will be closed until around midday.
