Telford man, 26, charged with drug and slavery offences

A Telford man has been charged with a number of drug related offences and a slavery offence.

West Mercia Police has today confirmed Macauley Jones of Bournside Drive in Telford was charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A, two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A and one count of requiring a person to perform forced or compulsory labour.

The 26-year-old has been remanded in custody after he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, October 28.

He will next appear at Shrewsbury Crown Court on November 27.
