Junior members of Market Drayton Amdrams will be bringing the timeless musical to the Festival Drayton Centre next week.

Sarayah Garnham, publicity officer for Market Drayton Amdrams said: "The show is looking fantastic, the talent and confidence is incredible.

"The cast and team have worked tirelessly preparing for the show, it's going to be a brilliant few nights."

The musical tells the tale of Annie, a young orphan girl, who was abandoned on the steps of a miserable orphanage, run by the cruel Miss Hannigan.

One day her luck changes: she is given the opportunity to stay in the house of Oliver Warbucks, America’s richest billionaire. We follow the story as she wins the heart of “Daddy Warbucks”.

Unfortunately, Miss Hannigan and her crooked brother, Rooster, have other ideas, which could put Annie in great danger.

The musical is based on “Little Orphan Annie” by permission of The Tribune Media Services, Inc.

The book is by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Martin Charning.

Tickets cost £8 for an adult and £7 for a child or concession.

The production runs from Wednesday, November 1 until Friday, November 3. The show starts at 7.45pm.
