Sue Johnson has worked at the Greggs site in Oswestry for 50 years, it was formally a different bakery which Greggs eventually took over

Sue Johnson, 65, has worked in the same spot at 1 Church Street, Oswestry for half a century, after joining as a 16-year-old girl straight from school.

She said she's seen lots of people come and go over the years as the site changed hands from Clemence's, to Cousins, to Stanton's, then Bakers Oven before it became Greggs around seven years ago.

But as a mainstay employee, Sue has always been there, working hard to provide customers with their baked goods and pastries.

"I was born here and went to the Oswestry Girls' Modern School. I have never known anything else. Its been the same job all the way through," she said.

"I have just loved it. I come in early and I go home late but I don't care, time means nothing to me.
