UK's first village podcast launches in Church Stretton
Less than a week after launch, the country's first village podcast - The Strettons Podcast - has gone viral with over 2,500 streams in four days in Church Stretton and beyond.
The village podcast covers news, farming, business, vox pop, roundtable discussion about housing, mental health advice, technology and comedy.
A spokesperson said: “As most people now consume their news and entertainment online, we want to meet them where they are - delivering content straight to their hands.”
"We've been blown away by the response from the local community. Everyone has really enjoyed it and is talking about it and engaging with us. We always said that we would measure the success of the podcast by the level of engagement and at the moment, we're getting emails and being approached in the street, so it's clearly striking a nerve."
