Back to the 80s: Disco raises over £1K for local charities
An amazing night was had by all at the 80s Disco organised by Councillor Darren Childs and the Mayor of Ludlow, Councillor Beverley Waite.
The event at Ludlow Brewery last Saturday evening was a thumping success, with 120 people revelling in the music and in their memories of when they first heard it, or danced to it, who created a fabulous atmosphere from the moment they arrived.
Roger Tomkins was in charge of the music and the brewery provided the perfect venue with dance space, seating inside and outside for when feet needed a respite, and of course the bar, operated as always by friendly and efficient staff.
The disco was held in aid of Hands Together Ludlow and West Midlands Air Ambulance, which provide vital support for local people.
Councillor Darren Childs said: "It was great to see so many people dressed up and enjoying themselves."
The disco raised over £1,000 for the charities.
