Welshpool property gutted in early morning blaze

Fire crews from four stations across Powys attended a fire that gutted a property in Welshpool in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Mid Wales Fire and Rescue Crews from Welshpool, Montgomery, Llanfair Caereinion and Newtown, attended the fire on Broad Street at 1.05am.

The fire broke out on the ground floor level of a three story building, which is used by estate agents Harry Ray and Company, and also has a domestic flat.

Fire crews remained at the scene until 3.45am, with the whole of the property being affected by smoke.
