Can Soldado and Janssen put their Spurs troubles behind them at Fenerbahce?

Perhaps they’ll be stronger together?

With the news that Vincent Janssen is to be loaned to Fenerbahce, people very quickly realised that meant he would be linking up with another former Tottenham forward.

Janssen’s time in the Premier League has not been as goal-laden as Spurs fans would have hoped.

He enjoyed success in cup competitions for the north London club, but found it tougher in the league.

But when he arrives at Fenerbahce, Janssen will have someone to talk to about his Premier League troubles.

Roberto Soldado arrived at Tottenham in 2013 and scored four goals in his first three games – however, he struggled to maintain that form and left the club in 2015.

Completing a former Premier League front three is Robin van Persie, a man who enjoyed more success in England’s top flight, winning it in 2013 with Manchester United.

Smile, Vincent.

The Premier League’s not for everybody, and unfortunately it looks as though it wasn’t for these two.

Perhaps the goals will come if the two are paired together?
