Romelu Lukaku has reacted to angry Everton fans with a cheeky new video

There’s no sign of Chelsea in this one – but Everton fans might not like it anyway.

Romelu Lukaku’s strained relationship with Everton fans hit a new low when he posted a video of himself playing five-a-side on a pitch with Chelsea branding all around it.

The striker, who has of course been heavily linked with a return to Stamford Bridge this summer, clearly took note of the criticism from Toffees fans, because today he returned with another video.

The Belgium striker said: “No banners so you are happy!”

Whether that was designed to appease or to tease the Everton fans is open to interpretation, but Toffees fans were doing their best to stay calm.

Get rid.

Either way, it’s surely a step up from the Chelsea-themed video he posted over the weekend.

The 24-year-old, who is on holiday in LA, scored 25 Premier League goals last season. Everton’s second top scorer was Ross Barkley with five.

Manchester United are also reported to be interested in signing Lukaku.
