Golden State Warriors battle back to beat Philadelphia 76ers

The Golden State Warriors battled back from a 22-point deficit to triumph 124-116 over the Philadelphia 76ers.

The 76ers dominated the first half, going in 74-52 ahead, but the Warriors made a mighty comeback in the third, claiming 47 points to the 76ers’ 15.

Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 35 points, 20 of which came in the deciding third quarter.

Philadelphia’s Ben Simmons had 23 points and 12 assists but it was not enough to lift his team to victory.

The Boston Celtics, meanwhile, continued their winning streak, overcoming the Atlanta Hawks 110-99 for their 15th win in a row.

Kyrie Irving scored 30 points and Jaylen Brown had a career-best 27 after coming back from 16 points down and the Celtics did not the lead until the third quarter.

But Irving continued to be the team’s stand-out man and delighted fans with a finger-roll lay-up in the fourth to add to his five-for-five free throws and five three-pointers.

Elsewhere, James Harden scored 29 points to lift the Houston Rockets to a 105-83 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, while Wesley Matthews scored a season-high 22 points to help the Dallas Mavericks beat the Milwaukee Bucks 111-79.

Utah Jazz overcame a three-game losing streak to beat the Orlando Magic 125-85, the Charlotte Hornets brought an end to their six-game losing run, beating the Los Angeles Clippers 102-87, and the Portland Trail Blazers triumphed 102-90 at home against the Sacramento Kings.
