Conor McGregor to fight Tony Ferguson next?

Has Conor McGregor’s latest tweet confirmed his next opponent in the UFC?

The Irishman has posted a picture on Twitter of himself driving a boat with a gun in his right hand and his belts and cash behind him, accompanied with the caption “Tony”.

It may just look like just another epic tweet by the rich 29-year-old, but there may be more to it than meets the eye.

The caption is believed to be a reference to Tony Ferguson, the 33-year-old fighter who called McGregor out after defeating Kevin Lee with a third-round triangle choke submission in Las Vegas last week.

The tweet also comes a day after McGregor’s manager, Audie Attar, said his client would return to the UFC to defend his lightweight title at some point.

McGregor took time away from the Octagon, where he last fought in November last year, to train as a boxer for his mega fight with unbeaten champion Floyd Mayweather in August.
