Hankey will be back on an all-too-familiar stage at Frimley Green looking to claim some of a £100,000 prize pot,

The home of the World Championship will also host the 2016 Trophy, after the event was moved from Event City in Manchester.

The BDO's top 16 are automatically picked, with nine qualifiers held around the world to make it a global field. The organisation then picked Hankey, Andy Fordham and Jeff Smith as wildcards.

Two-time Lakeside champion Hankey hasn't been seen on television since the 2016 worlds in January, where he was unseeded for the first time since 1999.

He whitewashed Canada's David Cameron 3-0 in the preliminary phase, before he was shut out 3-0 himself by Welshman Martin Phillips.
