Shropshire's Fred Gill rowing for Great Britain
Shropshire rower Fred Gill will fly the British flag at the European Rowing Championships in Italy next week.

Gill, from Shrewsbury, will race in the men's eight on Lake Varese. He will be part of one of nine GB development crews competing in the wake of successful Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The 26-year-old, a former Shrewsbury School pupil, enjoyed a taste of the big time when he was part of the Cambridge crew which won the Boat Race in 2010.
The Europeans start next Friday.
