Watkins, who has recently been announced as the coach for the England U19s in the annual clash with Scotland, has enjoyed a number of years of success with Tigers, winning two EPL Championships, an EPL League Cup, and the Moralee Conference play-offs,

He also helped guide Great Britain IIHF to a World Championship Division 1B silver medal and Division 1B gold medal.

Tigers chairman Mike Washburn said: “It’s great news that Tom takes up the reins again as both general manager and head coach.

“We have been working together for the last two years to try to build something special at Telford Tigers.

“We started from a stressful place when the EPL collapsed. We promised a three-year strategy to rebuild the club and, two years into the journey, Tom has done a great job.”
