Hazeldine played on a two-way contract last season with Nottingham Panthers and Swindon Wildcats, playing 31 times and contributing 10 points for Swindon as well as representing GB at U18s.

Tom Watkins was thrilled to bring in the promising starlet.

"I'm delighted to reach an agreement with the Panthers to bring Joe Hazeldine to Telford on a two way agreement and must thank Gary Moran and Rich Chernomaz for making this happen." he said.

"Joe is a very talented young defenceman and impressed me every time we played the Wildcats last season.

"He has got good size, bags of potential and I have no doubt he will progress to play full time with the Panthers in the Elite League, but for now he needs those playing minutes playing here in all situations to aid his progression.

"I think our fan base will be very surprised when they see him play."

Nottingham Panthers will have first call on his services throughout the season, but Telford will hope to see plenty of him in a Tigers' jersey.

The 17-year-old admitted that he can't wait to feature for Telford.

"It's a new opportunity for me and somewhere different to progress and get to the next level. Telford was the right fit and I can't wait to get started." he said.
