Macauley Halford has re-joined Telford Tigers, completing the deal just minutes before the signing deadline for 2017-18.

Halford left Tigers in September after failing to agree a new contract with the club, despite originally agreeing terms.

But he is now back with Tigers and will be available for the clash with Blackburn Hawks this Saturday.

Head coach and general manager Tom Watkins said “At this stage of the season I’m delighted to be able to welcome back Macauley to bolster the team heading into the business end of the season.

"We are all extremely pleased to get someone with so much ability who is well liked by the guys in the dressing room.

"He will add some offensive depth and paired up with Scott McKenzie I’m sure they will form a pairing that is difficult to handle.

"We all know how much upside Macauley has and I think playing with such an experienced and quality player in Scott McKenzie we’ll see how much of a big deal this re-signing actually is.

"I’m confident Scott will bring the best out of Macauley. I’m really excited to have Macauley back.”
