Tigers prouduced a stunning comeback to beat Sheffield Senators in their first clash of the weekend before turning on the power to hammer Blackburn Hawks 2 the following day.

The home clash with Senators seemed to be going the visitors’ way after they led 3-0 and then 4-2 by the end of the second period.

But the Tigers hit back in style in the final period with four unanswered goals seeing them run out 6-4 winners.

Player/coach Callum Bowley and Callum Griffin found the net for the hosts in the opening two periods with strikes from James Smith, Charlie Hammerton and Simon Harrison putting Tigers 5-4 up.

And a fine fightback was sealed when, despite the Senators boasting a two-man advantage after Karol Jets had received a two-minute penalty and opting to pull their netminder in favour of the extra player, Smith fired into an empty net to make it 6-4.

The clash at Blackburn proved to be a one-side affair as Tigers turned on the style.

Hammerton and Smith led the way as they both bagged hat-tricks.

Bowley netted twice with Liam Preece, Harrison, Jets and Ben Washburn completing the scoring and a successful weekend.
