Telford Tigers win at the double
Telford Tigers made it a double-winning weekend as they continue to set the pace at the top of ice hockey’s NIHL North.
The league leaders won 6-3 at Whitley Bay Warriors last night, backing up an impressive 7-0 win over second-placed Blackburn Hawks at Telford Ice Rink.
Tigers skipper captain Jason Silverthorn led the way with a treble, James Smith (2), Danny Rose, Ricky Plant and James Smith were also on target.
Coach Tom Watkins said: “It was a really solid performance and result.”
