Forward Jesson and defenceman Gilbert have both signed up with the Tigers again for the 2017/18 campaign.

Bowley was delighted to have added the teenage duo to his playing ranks.

He said: “Joe is a player that impressed me. He’s calm on the puck, plays a simple game, he’s not afraid to throw his body around and he’s also quite a good skater.

“He’s another key defenceman that I am extremely pleased to have added to our defensive line-up.”

“Brodie is a talented young player who I was keen to sign straightaway. His development last season was quite impressive and I think he’s got a really good skill set.

“He will log a lot of senior minutes this season and will get plenty of opportunities to play in important situations, which is key for his development. He will play across three teams next season - Tigers U18’s, Tigers D2 and Tigers D1, in order to aid his development. I think it will be an exciting and huge year for Brodie.”

And the pair are eager to get going with 19-year-old Gilbert, saying: “I’m glad to be back with Telford for another year. I’m looking forward to getting started and seeing how the team looks in the new season. I can’t wait to be back with some old friends and team-mates.”

Jesson, aged 16, added: “I am very happy to be back for another season in Telford. It’s going to be a new and exciting challenge.”
