Following days of uncertainty about the future of the club, a deal has been reached for all trademarks to be transferred to the owners of the champions of the now-defunct English Premier League.

That means two Tigers teams will play in the new NIHL leagues next season.

A statement on Facebook read: “We are pleased to announce that following some excellent work over the past few days agreement has now been reached between Mike (Washburn), Tom (Watkins) and Wayne (Scholes, who held the trademarks) with regards to the Tigers trademarks.

"This has resulted in an assignment of all the relevant trademarks and images and this will enable the new NIHL teams to carry on with the Tigers name and Logos. The teams will carry the famous black and orange livery and will be known as Telford Tigers 1 and 2 respectively.”

The vote for the new name has therefore been cancelled.
