Shifnal stunned by the Maddocks men
Shifnal A saw their charge towards the Telford League title checked slightly by a rare defeat.
The table-toppers slipped to just there second reverse of the season as they went down 3-2 at home to Maddocks A.
Phil Davies took the opening frame for Maddocks only for Steve Powell, with the aid of a 32 break, and Paul Lloyd to hit back for the hosts.
Ian Duffy then knocked in a fine break of 47 to force a last-frame shootout which saw Dave France clinch the win for Maddocks.
Second-placed Hadley are 12 points behind the leaders following a 3-2 home success against Shifnal B.
Shifnal looked set for victory after John Fallows took the first frame by a point and Aaron Sparkes added the second.
But Hadley hit back with Ashley Kent and James Brennan levelling the scores before Adam Halling took the decider.
Maddocks B are up to fourth on the back of 4-1 victory over Bayley D but Maddocks C went down by the same score at home to Dawley.
Shifnal D eased to a 5-0 win on the tables of Eden Elite.
Maddocks E saw their lead at the top of Division Two cut to a point. The leaders had a bye week and Anstice cranked up the pressure by beating Maddocks 2nd 4-1.
