Telford Fighters band together for charity

Twenty six competitors took part in a Mixed Martial Arts charity event at the Park Inn, Telford as they aim to raise £20,000 for charity.

Participants had little or no experience in martial arts however took the challenge which involved 8 weeks free intensive training at Combat Athlete MMA in Ketley before stepping into the cage at a professionally run Mixed Martial Arts event in Telford.

“It was a great experience I have learnt so much in just eight weeks and to fight on the event was the ultimate personal challenge for me, I have made lots of new friends and loved the whole experience” said one of the competitors.

The event has raised money for Make A Wish UK which grants wishes to sick and terminally ill children.

MMA Challenge Ltd which runs these events around the country have currently raised over £14,000 for Make A Wish and are looking to reach their target of £20,000 by the end of 2017.
