There were 11 teams competing at this year’s tournament, at Malvern St James, in Malvern, on May 25. Prestfelde arrived as reigning champions, as they have been for the past six years, and were keen to take the trophy home with them again.

They eased through their group games against Inglefield House, Stanley Road, Moreton Hall and MSJ in the morning, making them top of the group and earning a spot straight to the quarter-finals.

Helen Murray, South West regional officer for English Lacrosse, said organisers were impressed with the Prestfelde girls’ individual and team skills as they worked their way towards the final. She added: “The final against a feisty and competitive Stanley Road team saw some really great lacrosse and precision shooting from the girls. Prestfelde emerged with a 7-2 victory. I look forward to seeing the girls at the national finals in Sheffield at the end of June!”
