Members in attendance included Shropshire and Herefordshire Union of Golf Clubs stars Phil Taylor and his winning Hargrove Trophy team, Stuart Legge with his winning Handicap League side, Alex Grainger and his winning Scratch B team and members of The Ken Smith Seniors winning side.

Yet these county stars picked up just a few club trophies between them – while 13-year-old Kay went home with no fewer than five for the cabinet.

Other players to take two or more pieces of silverware were Sue Holmyard (four), Allison Grove, Rose Morgan and Alex Poultney (three each) and Gavin Chandler, Peter Dyson, Tim Harvey, Dot Rochelle, Charlotte Russell and Emma Sirrell with two apiece.

The evening was organised by competitions chairman Peter Dyson and compered by Andy Morgan.

Trophies were presented by club captain Dave Pearson and ladies captain Sue Holmyard while photographer for the evening was Heather Stiles.
