The 44-year-old extended his Premier League record on Saturday by naming an unchanged team for nine consecutive opening games.

But after the 2-0 defeat against Watford, Nuno revealed he will have important decisions to make this week over his team selections.

He branded the weekend's result 'disappointing' which brought an end to Wolves' six game unbeaten run in the top flight.

Nuno said: "I think the week will dictate the decisions that we have to make for the next game at Brighton.

"But it is a good point (that my players maybe feeling their places are secure)."

"We didn't play good (against Watford), we didn't play well, we didn't perform, so when you don't perform, you don't get the result, and it was a disappointing day of course."

The Wolves boss, who is in his second season in charge, was left regretting a 'very bad' first half at Molineux where Watford scored two goals inside 60 seconds.

However he was happier with his team's second half performance, where he felt they 'showed more character' and tried to get back into the game.

The defeat was Wolves second of the season and meant their opponents Watford leap-frogged them in the table,

Étienne Capoue broke the deadlock on 20 minutes with a long-range strike into the bottom left corner.

The Hornets then shell-shocked Wolves by scoring 58 seconds later with Roberto Pereyra finishing into the top right corner.

Nuno continued: "When you concede, you must control the situation knowing that OK, you get a goal, but there is a lot of game to do.

"And you cannot in the immediate action after wards make another mistake that unbalances and creates the second goal of Watford.

"Then everything becomes more difficult so basically it was a very bad first half, very bad. In the second half I think we showed some character.

"Even when we lose, how we lose is important, so I think we lost the game.

"Watford deserved the win but in the second half we showed we have shape, organisation and the will to turn things around but today we could not make it."

Wolves game at Brighton kicks off at 3pm on Saturday.
