The Premier League champions, who Wolves are facing today, have been linked with a £60million swoop for the 21-year-old playmaker in the January transfer window.

However, Nuno is not concerned by the speculation, saying: “For now he is going to play today.

“If something happens, I will be concerned for the future but not for today.

“Not only Ruben, a lot of players will attract attention. Rumours will go on and on through the competition for sure.

“I am not concerned about it.”

Wolves go in search of their first win today against Manchester City at Molineux.

Nuno expects a tough game against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City but says he has analysed City for their weakness.

“Every team has one,” said the 44-year-old. “If I say to you the way I work this week and refer to the weakness then maybe I will ruin my game plan so I will not do so.

“But, of course, I have seen something that I can target, every team for sure.

“The game is not going to be entertaining at all. It is going to be a game, a tough game, a tough game for us, a tough game for them, for sure. A football game. I hope the fans enjoy it.”

Adama Traore could possibly make his debut today but Nuno still needs to decide on his starting line-up.

And he also revealed Leander Dendoncker could be named in the squad.

“He could be, he is working well, improving his fitness,” added Nuno.

He wants his team to be more clinical in front of goal but says they have taken positive lessons from their first two games against Everton and Leicester.

And he stressed it’s important Wolves continue playing in their own identity.

“This is the way we want to be, a team with identity,” he said.
