Global sporting giant Adidas will be Wolves' kit supplier for the next four years, the club have announced.

Laurie Dalrymple made the announcement at tonight's end of season awards – and the MD also confirmed The Money Shop's main shirt sponsorship will end a year early.

As reported in the Express & Star last week, Wolves have reached a deal to pay off the controversial payday loan firm.

However a deal to sign a new shirt sponsor has yet to be finalised – and neither the home nor away kits will be revealed yet either.

Dalrymple hailed the deal to partner with Adidas. He said: "Adidas is the biggest football brand on the planet.

"They will provide a kit that underpins high performance and that for you, for the first time in many years, will be Wolves gold.

Of the Money Shop, the MD added: "The Money Shop invested in Wolves in 2009, it was a partnership that initially saw them become stand sponsor, then front of shirt sponsor in 2016.

"They provided significant financial support during our promotion season.

"Clearly this leaves a space for a new main shirt sponsor.

"We're close to agreeing a deal for home and away kits, this announcement will be forthcoming in the near future."

Puma had been Wolves' kit supplier for five years and Dalrymple revealed 27,000 shirts had been sold this season.

He also said that 9,000 season tickets have been renewed for next season, weeks ahead of the May 31 deadline.

And Dalrymple announced that a new media suite being built at Molineux will be named the John 'Foz' Hendley Suite, after the much-loved programme editor and historian who passed away a few months ago.
