The Portuguese midfield maestro took home both the player of the season and the player's player of the season gongs at a glittering ceremony in Telford.

Neves also made it a hat-trick when he won goal of the season for his stunning 35-yard volley against Derby.

The 21-year-old pipped Conor Coady and Matt Doherty for the player of the season prize, voted for by supporters. Diogo Jota and Coady completed the top three for the player vote.

Other winners on the night included Stafford-born teenager Morgan Gibbs-White who was named as young professional of the season ahead of Bright Enobakhare and Ruben Vinagre.

Gibbs-White has played 15 times in all competitions for Nuno Espirito Santo's side and starred as England Under-17s won the World Cup in India last year.

Ryan Giles won the academy player of the season award, beating Austin Samuels and Elliot Watt.

Quick winger Giles ended the season on loan at Telford United where he earned many plaudits for his goals and assists.

Diogo Jota won the top goalscorer prize for his 18 goals, while the Wolves Women player of the season award went to Andrea Whetton.

Lifelong Wolves fan Steve Plant won the Rachael Heyhoe Flint award for outstanding contribution to the community. Plant organised last summer's 24 hour penalty shoot-out at Molineux and has raised thousands of pounds for both Cure Leukaemia and Compton Hospice.

Carl Ikeme paid a special video tribute to Steve for his incredible charity work.

The Express & Star fan of the year for 2017/18 is Mark Simmons.

One of the highlights of the evening was Led Zeppelin rock god Robert Plant kicking it all off by making a surprise guest appearance to perform Whole Lotta Love and an instrumental version of The Liquidator, before introducing the first team squad and staff.

Nuno also gave a three-minute victory speech, which will be published in full on the Express & Star website tomorrow.
