The 23-year-old yesterday claimed the PFA Fans award for last month after finishing top in an online poll which also included his Molineux team-mate Diogo Jota.

Now Bonatini has been named in a four-man shortlist for the most prestigious of the monthly prizes, with the winner set to be announced tomorrow.

The on-loan Brazilian fired home five goals during October to help Wolves maintain their excellent start to the season.

Bonatini netted in wins over Villa, Preston and Bolton, while he also scored in the only setback for Nuno’s men, a 2-1 defeat at QPR.

Bolton’s Sammy Ameobi, Sunderland’s Lewis Grabban and Derby’s Richard Keogh have also been nominated by a panel including former Wolves striker Don Goodman.

Bonatini, who joined Wolves on a season-long switch from Saubi Arabian outfit Al-Hilal, has proved nothing short of a revelation at Molineux and now has ten goals for the season, more than any other striker in the Championship.

He polled more votes than any other player to win the PFA Fans’ award at a canter, ahead of Ameobi and Cardiff City’s Bruno Manga.

Jota, who has scored seven goals this season, finished fourth in a poll which also included QPR’s Massimo Luongo and Sunderland’s Lewis Grabban.
