The 25-year-old was at Wolves for three-and-a-half years but didn't feature in Nuno Espirito Santo's plans.

A £3m bid was rebuffed just last week but the Tigers returned with an improved offer which Wolves accepted yesterday afternoon.

Dicko had appeared in all seven of Wolves’ matches so far this season, but only started the Carabao Cup games against Yeovil – in which he scored – and Southampton, with loan signing Leo Bonatini preferred in attack.

He came off the bench to scored what turned out to be the decisive goal when Wolves won 3-2 at Hull earlier this month.

The striker told Hull's official website: "I am really happy to be here and hopefully it is going to be a good time for the club and for me.

"It's a move that has been on the cards for a couple of weeks, ever since Wolves played Hull up here. I found out that Hull City were interested in signing me and things started moving from there. I'm glad that everything is sorted now and I'm looking forward to settling down here and getting started."

Dicko joined Wolves in January of their League One title-winning campaign, going on to finish as the club’s top scorer with 13 goals from 19 appearances. Overall, he made 104 appearances for the club during his three-and-a-half-year stay, netting a total of 34 goals.
