TNS looking learn from loss

The New Saints are hoping to learn lessons from their one defeat of the season to recapture the Cymru Premier title.

TNS will restart their campaign next Saturday three points clear of Connah’s Quay Nomads, who hold a game in hand and beat the Saints when they met on December 12.

And boss Scott Ruscoe is determined to make sure that loss was ‘good progression’.

“It was the only game I could question whether we were at our best or did well enough,” said Ruscoe. “

I just felt that a couple of moments, two goals in four or five minutes killed the game and we couldn’t find a reply.

“But, if you look at one defeat in 17, 14 wins, it’s where you want to be, so I’m not going to moan too much.

“We learn from it. If we played the game tomorrow would we do anything different? Yes we would.

“If you learn for your losses it makes for good progression.

“They’ve done well, Bala Town as well have had a good season, it’s still there, it’s up for grabs.”
