The runaway leaders have already posted a record of 79 points this term in winning the league at a canter, and they have power to add with three games remaining.

“We want to get as many points as we can in the league, that’s the target,” said manager Craig Harrison. “Including the Welsh Cup final, we’ve got four games left, and we want nothing less than to win all four.”

He added: “We’re delighted to be in another Welsh Cup final, and still have the chance of a ‘treble’ treble, but that’s for another day. We now want to focus on the league again.”

With places at stake for the cup final, when TNS will look to lift the trophy for a fourth successive season, there will be plenty of motivation in the coming weeks.

First up, is an encounter with Connah’s Quay at Park Hall tonight – the third meeting between the sides in two-and-a-half weeks.

Gap recently won 2-1 in the league, but the Saints settled the score when defeating the same opposition 3-0 in the Welsh Cup last Saturday to set up a final showdown with Bala Town at the Bangor University Stadium on Sunday, April 30.

Bangor is a happy hunting ground for Harrison who has won every visit, whether in the league or cup competitions.

Before then, his thoughts are on this evening’s encounter with Connah’s Quay.

“Gap will be another big game for us. They will be competitive as always, work hard and be dangerous from long throws and set-plays,” he said.

“We will check on a few players who are carrying a knocks and niggles, but I want to play as strong a side a possible.”

Harrison praised his side who underlined their credentials with a fully deserved passage into the final against Connah’s Quay.

It kept the holders on course for an an unprecedented third successive treble, having already lifted the Nathaniel MG Cup as well as the league crown.
