Oxford vs Shrewsbury - Match preview

Town played out a goalless draw with Charlton at the weekend in a match they should have won, given the chances they created.

But for the second week running they were left ruing missed opportunities as they failed to score the sixth consecutive match.

That said, it has been much more like it from Shrews of late, and if they can find their shooting boots they will start picking up points.

As ever in League One, they do not have time to dwell on the weekend’s result as the next game comes around soon after, with them taking on second-placed Oxford United tonight.

Winchester says it is all about improving week on week for Town, which is something he feels they have done of late.

He said: “There was a lot of change in the summer – from managers to loads of players coming in and the staff too.
