After more than two-and-half-years at Town the Shropshire Star understands manager Cotterill is set to leave after guiding them to their second-highest finish in 33 years.

The Town boss’s future has been up in the air ever since Brian Caldwell left the club before Town’s penultimate home game of the season, and they announced they were creating a new football board without his knowledge.

He addressed the media after the final game at Lincoln saying he did not know what the future holds for him and it has taken 25 days for the situation to be resolved – which now sees him set to leave Shropshire.

It is understood Cotterill and the club are in negotiations over his departure from Montgomery Waters Meadow.
