Shrewsbury Town duo Josh Daniels and Sean Goss are in contention to make their return from injury against Ipswich tomorrow night.

Right wing-back Daniels has been missing with a calf problem since the win at Burton on March 23. Goss (hamstring) last played in mid-April at Oxford.

But Town first-team coach David Longwell revealed Shrewsbury have been boosted by almost a full return to fitness ahead of the penultimate game of the season, as the Tractor Boys visit Montgomery Waters Meadow.

Defender Aaron Pierre made his comeback from the best part of three months injured in Saturday's 3-2 reverse against Oxford, in which Longwell suggested some Town players were left out with players back to fitness.

Pierre came through his comeback and is in line to feature in the final two matches of the season. Manager Steve Cotterill, who returned on Saturday for the first time in more than four months, will again oversee the game from the directors' box and is unlikely to be in the dugout at Crewe on Sunday. He has not been in training at Sundorne Castle, with those duties left to Aaron Wilbraham and Longwell.

"We had such a strong squad at the weekend there were some guys left out," Longwell said. "That's a real positive for us, it gives the manager some good food for thought for the next two games about who he wants to play.

"Everything from that point of view is really healthy."
