Sam Ricketts' men will spend some down time in the capital Dublin ahead of the busy festive period that lies ahead.

Salop will then get stuck into games against Coventry, Accrington Stanley, Sunderland and Fleetwood between Saturday and New Year's Day.

Left-back Ryan Haynes, dressed in a carrot costume, has shared a couple of pictures of their trip on Instagram.

He is joined by Charlie Colkett, in a hula outfit, in one, and Greg Docherty, as an astronaut, in the other.

Skipper Mat Sadler, who made his 200th appearance for the club and 500th career outing against Posh, believes such trips can be important for squads to bond in different environments.

He said: "I think it's good to get together as a group. You don't get many opportunities like this.

"Especially at this time of year, it'll be good to see people in a different environment that you don't normally do

"It's a long old season, a long old time together, I'm looking forward to a bit of down time."
