Paul Hurst’s side shone in one of the displays of the season at The Valley a fortnight ago where they defeated the Addicks 2-0.

In-form Beckles, who scored in that game and was awarded man of the match against Yeovil on Tuesday night, wants more of the same.

“It’s always good to see when everyone’s at it,” he said. “When you’re in the game and everyone’s buzzing there is this flow and it was really good to be a part of.

“But we really want to set that as the standard now and set that momentum and performance throughout the rest of the season.”

Beckles, a centre-half by trade, has been impressing at left-back and has netted twice in 32 outings in his debut Town campaign.

He added on reaching Wembley: “It’s the winning mentality that you can build on. The vibe around the dressing room is excitement.

“That’ll be good for us as a collective, having something for us to look forward to.”

Meanwhile, Town’s postponed clash with Peterborough has been rearranged for Tuesday, April 24. Their trip to Northampton, scheduled for Saturday, April 7 – the day before Town’s Wembley final – has been moved to Tuesday, March 20.

Alex Rodman’s stunning goal at Charlton has been nominated for League One goal of the month for February. Fans can vote on the Sky Sports website.
