Shrewsbury Town complete Stefan Payne signing
Shrewsbury Town have announced the signing of striker Stefan Payne on a two-year deal from Barnsley.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a loan spell at Town last season, scoring twice in 12 League One appearances.
He signs for an undisclosed fee and boss Paul Hurst is delighted to have got the deal done.
He said: "It's one we knew, from the end of last season, Stefan liked the club and liked how we worked here.
"I got the call from the manager over there that it got to point he was willing to let him go.
"As soon as that was the case, we wanted to act quickly.
"There was a lot of interest in Stefan but the fact he had been here and liked the club was a big pull.
"We are delighted to get him in, a permanent centre forward."
