Jayson Leutwiler left out of Shrewsbury Town squad numbers

Jayson Leutwiler was the headline omission from Shrewsbury Town’s official squad numbers for the new season.

The popular shot-stopper, Town’s No.1 for the previous three seasons, has been made available for transfer by boss Paul Hurst.

Hurst no longer sees Canadian Leutwiler in his plans and has signed two goalkeepers, Dean Henderson on loan and Craig MacGillivray, this summer.

Leutwiler could follow fellow goalkeeper Callum Burton, who joined Hull last week, out of the exit door this summer.

Also without an official number this season are first-team squad members Ryan McGivern and AJ Leitch-Smith.

The duo are unwanted by Hurst and Town are actively seeking a move for them, while they have not trained with the squad all summer.

Both McGivern and Leitch-Smith were signed by former boss Micky Mellon from Port Vale last summer, but barely featured under Hurst.
