Remie Streete not held any talks with Shrewsbury Town
Shrewsbury Town have not been in contact with recently released Port Vale defender and rumoured target Remie Streete.
The Shropshire Star understands that the 22-year-old, released by Vale at the beginning of May, has not yet been in touch with any Town representative.
Rumours that Streete, a former Newcastle trainee who had a loan stint at Rangers, had already undergone a medical at Greenhous Meadow are wide of the mark.
Streete had an eye-catching campaign for the relegated Staffordshire outfit, where he featured on 42 occasions.
Port Vale to Shrewsbury is a well-trodden path, with Louis Dodds, AJ Leitch-Smith and Ryan McGivern making the move to Shropshire last summer.
