Dave Richards’s side sit bottom of the Midland Premier having lost seven of their eight matches so far.

Their last league match was almost a fortnight ago at Sporting Khalsa.

“It definitely came at a good time with five lads carrying knocks and we are a bit light on the ground. We’ve also lost Liam Armstrong to Ellesmere,” he said.

“In the last four weeks we’ve lost Liam and Kieran Dovey. Long Eaton is a game we need to get something from, like we did last season when Thomas Taylor grabbed a last minute winner when we won 3-2.

“The minibus drive home was a happy one, so hopefully we can show the same team spirit and desire.”

Adam Groom, Ian Harvard, Marc Stallard, Stu Ellis and Ben Osi are all out injured and Tom Worthington is banned.

Liam Taylor also has a knock but Richards is hoping he may be able to play.
