Both arrive having played in the Huws Gray Cymru Alliance with Mold Alex last season and take the number of new signings to nine.

With nine players staying from last season, joint managers Richard Williams-Cooke and Ryan Butcher are still looking for four more to make for a 22-man squad which they feel will be competitive in the North West Counties League Division One. “We’re delighted with the players we’ve brought in, but you never know how it’s going to go until the season starts,” said Butcher. “But we feel we need a 22-man squad to work with in this league.”

Town, who have been back in training for a couple of weeks, play their first friendly at home to the Liver Academy on Saturday, July 1. The league season starts on Saturday, August 12.

Meanwhile, FC Oswestry have been drawn away to Sandbach United in the first round of the North West Counties Division One cup.

The winners of the tie will host Eccleshall in the second round.
