Cowans, the son of Villa legend Gordon, has been with the Bucks since 2017 and was integral during the club's push for promotion two seasons ago.

The 25-year-old has committed to the club for a fourth season and is one of the longest serving players at the New Bucks Head

“I am over the moon to get things sorted and looking forward to getting started and back to some normality with what looks like a really exciting season for us with the squad we have,” said the midfielder.

Cowans was invited back to the club to prove his fitness after injuries restricted him to just two league starts last season, spending time out on loan at Stratford and Stourbridge.

Boss Gavin Cowan was delighted to bring back a man he knows so well: “It’s great to have Henry with us again this year, his performances pre-season have justified us restraining him and I feel as though it will be a big year for him.”

Cowans will go straight into the squad for Telford's FA Cup second qualifying round at Chasetown on Saturday.
