A topsy-turvy encounter at the New Windmill Ground finished 2-2, with the ball-playing Bucks having to deal with a robust Brakes side.

"I think when you come to Leamington, knowing the battle you're in for, you come away with a point and I suppose you take stock - you're happy," said Cowan, whose side remain unbeaten and sit third in the table.

"But I felt as if we deserved the three points, a few slight adjustments here and there would have helped that."

Adam Dawson and Andre Brown got the goals for Telford. Brown then missed a penalty which would have won it in the second half.

"Had Andre converted his penalty I think we would've gone on comfortably but it wasn't to be," added Cowan.

"Leamington try to unsettle you, stamping on the penalty spot - the old school tricks.

"Their goalkeeper has just guessed the right way."
