The UEFA A Licence holder has previously worked at Tamworth, Hucknall Town and Stafford Rangers.

He started his coaching career with Wolves' academy before moving into non-league in 2011.

Bucks boss Gavin Cowan said: "I’d like to welcome Martin to our football club and I’m really pleased he agreed to come on board.

"Martin is someone who has come highly recommended and after numerous meetings and conversations, I believe he is ideal for what we need as part of our staff.

"We’ll take it week to week but Prenno is like-minded and fully backs what we are trying to achieve here.”

Prentice joined Rangers in 2013. He was part of the Neil Kitching regime and had been offered to stay on after Kitching left at the end of last season.

"I am delighted to have joined AFC Telford United ahead of the new season," said Prentice.

"When I met up with Gav he sold the club and the ambition to me and I am thrilled to be joining a club that matches the ambition I have. I can’t wait to get started."

Prentice will start in his new role as Telford report for the beginning of pre-season on Tuesday.
